Edge radio 99.3 fm
On 20/07/2010 I appeared as a guest on Edge Radio. The lady that interviewed me was Mel. I appeared on her program Tasmusic edge radio because I wanted to promote my music and to get the attention of people around Tasmania because I want to get a bigger audience.
In the interview we talked about how I got in to this business, my background, the people who influence me, Power hip hop and our school group called 'Students against Racism.’ This interview went for 25 minutes. It was not my first time on the air but I did open up and tell Tasmania about who sunny man is and about my ideas.
I chose three tracks out of my new album. The first song was “Cold industry”. This song has a lot of meaning. In the song I talk about how I left my father back in Africa and things that are going on in my life and in the world.
The second track was called “My baby” is a song about a girl that I knew back in the days when I was in the camp and how god brought us to Tasmania together. I also talked about things that are going on in the community like how I am a spokesperson and role model for my community but how some people still see me as a bad guy. In the song I told “my baby” not to see me that way.
Track three was “Rock dat club”. This song featuring “ Lil shoa” basically means go crazy and have fun. I talk about bringing everyone to the party and it doesn’t matter if your black or white. I made this song because some white people think if this is a black party they are not allowed and it is not like that at all.
When I finished the interview I went to my friends place and he said the interview was really awesome and their mother really loved it. They couldn’t believe it because I was with them then I left and the next thing they heard me on the radio. I was also pleased with my self.

Triple J unearthed has mc comp and I have registered as a hip hop artist. I needed to download the beat and write my own rhymes and record it on top of the beat. When I heard about this I was excited, so on the same day I wrote the song and recorded it. I was happy with the recording, so I mixed it down and then I just needed to upload it on triple j and I hope I will win the competition.
I have been a musician for years, now I want to see some changes in the music industry. The industry should start to make more opportunities for underground rappers there are millions of young talented underground artists that would love to be heard not just me.
In the song that I wrote I talk about things like, my life would be the same if I don’t run away, this means if I don’t change for the better and don’t make an impact my life will not be good. I also talk about fame, I believe without destiny there can be no long lasting fame, I feel I am their superstar for a day and tomorrow I am back on the bottom. I want to be appreciated and respected for what I do, in fact in my community kid’s look up to me as their role model. I want to be seen like that in the Australian community.

In 2009 I performed in Power Hip Hop which was a collaboration between 10 rappers and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. We worked together to write songs and score the music for the TSO. Then we performed 4 shows at the Peacock theatre in Salamanca.
It was a great experience and we got big audiences who loved what we did. I performed a song called "All over the world". It is about bringing people together and uniting as one. I want to break down the barriers between people. I want everyone to understand each other, to care about each other and to work together. I want people to get out there and do something.A teacher once told me this,"If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem." This means that if you do not do anything to make the world a better place you are part of the reason why it is not getting better. Don't be lazy, take action now.

This year, 2010, we did a new Power Hip Hop. It was bigger, better and it was in a bigger venue. We performed 4 shows at the Theatre Royale in Hobart.
and i did the same song as last year. "all over the world” this song is not just one of my normal song this song speak to me deeply and emotionally and it reach out to the world too. It's means alot to me went I performed this song I felt like I'm on top of the world.I talk to them at the same time as I'm singing for them. It's makes them shed happy tears that makes me strong and enegetic about my music. I love my fans out there and the people who willing to push me up to show to the world not for the fame but for the music and the words i express and stories i tell for the change.
The three first show were amazing and the last one at night time were sold out it was fist time in my performance career the show was sold out the crowed were going crazy with happiness, I mean they were just absolutely awesome. I could hear them screaming my name “sunny” and after the show I set down and think about it. I was sure I pleased everyone and if my daddy were here he would be proud of me, also i was happy my teacher and class mates were really stunted with my performance my mother came to see me for the first time and only thing she said was “it was ok, “it was sad, but it's not problem.
